A Kinder Way to Motivate
What if you were your own cheerleader? What if you gave yourself permission to go through life with strength, determination, positivity and vibrancy?
When you face a task that you don't particularly enjoy doing and your inner critic starts belittling you, consider a new way to approach the task.
If beating yourself up because you are messy isn't getting the house clean, then try words of kindness, giving yourself a reward when finished, a distraction (podcast, music, movie) that could make the time go faster and help you stay on task; or imagine how you will feel when the task is complete and motivate yourself towards a positive result.
Talking negatively to yourself rarely produces a positive result. When you choose to cheer yourself on and to think positively instead of negatively towards yourself - you are more productive and happier!
