Ever feel overwhelmed?
This is a great mindfulness tool to remind us to pause, breath, notice what is going on inside our brain, and then decide what the best next step should be.
Stop what you are doing, close your eyes
Take a deep breath or two
Observe how you are feeling and what is going on inside your body - notice the stress, what is causing it, and why.
Proceed with care for yourself and those around you - decide what the most compassionate next step is going to be and do that.
Isn't that a great and easy tool to remember?!?

Being mindful means paying attention to your thoughts without judging yourself for thinking them.
Just observe, without judgement, and become aware of you inner dialogue. Once you are aware of your thoughts, you can understand your emotions, identify what is going on beneath the surface, and think more clearly to decide what action you will take.
My best moments with God are when I stop talking, thinking, and moving. When I stop, take a breath, observe that God is with me, then proceed, everything gets better.
