We all struggle at times with choosing the “right” course of action.  We face both practical and moral dilemmas in the course of our daily lives.  Come learn about how everyone, including children and adolescents, develops their capacity to think about morals and ethics, to solve increasingly difficult moral problems, how to balance the rights of self and others, and what forms the basis for moral decision-making.  Participants will learn about Lawrence Kohlberg’s framework for moral development, understand the six stages of moral reasoning, and practice solving moral dilemmas…a fascinating insight into how each one of us learns to think about issues of right and wrong.  In addition, we will discuss “1+ reasoning” – a method that teaches adults to help children improve their ability to grapple with moral issues.
