Frequently Asked Questions

As coaches we are focused on specific goals you are looking to attain. We aim to reduce and ultimately resolve the problems that are standing in the way of that goal. We are here to motivate, encourage and celebrate you along the way. With a therapist, you might explore a psychological diagnosis that is holding you back from functioning well in daily life. The therapist creates a treatment plan for you based on their knowledge of the diagnosis. In therapy, you work to move toward greater mental health. Some people find it helpful to engage in both therapy and coaching while some find that one or the other works best for them.

When you book an appointment online, you will receive a confirmation email and a reminder 24 hours prior to your appointment time. On those emails, you will see a link to cancel or reschedule your appointment. There is no penalty for making adjustments or cancelling your appointment.

The amount of times you see your coach has many variables like goals, timelines, budget, availability, etc. Your coach can help strategize with you on what works best for you and your circumstances to achieve the life you desire.
-
If you prefer to meet with your coach or counselor online, that can easily be arranged. Just let us know what you prefer and we will make that happen for you.

Our practice believes that quality mental health care should be accessible to everyone. Each coach/counselor reserves a small number of sliding scale spots for clients with financial need. These are based on income and circumstances, and availability may vary. If cost is a barrier to starting or continuing therapy, please feel free to reach out to your coach/counselor to discuss options.
-
Life coaching is not covered by insurance because our sessions do not involve a medical diagnosis. Some insurance companies are now covering wellness programs and we are happy to provide a receipt that you can turn into your insurance company. We can process some FSA and HSA cards if your insurance provider covers wellness programs.
-
What is discussed in your session, stays between you and your provider. Your provider will protect your privacy. We understand the importance of building trust in a coaching and counseling relationship. We want you to feel safe sharing anything that helps you heal and grow.
-
We love to refer you to the right resources. We have people we trust in various care industries and we are happy to share those resources with you. Just ask your coach about what you are seeking and we will connect you to the right people.
