Counseling for Teens
We work with teens individually to help them know who they are, understand their own values, provide them with frameworks to make better decisions, and equip them with tools to build confidence as they journey through high school and college.
EmpowerU: A Program Especially for Teens
Compassion Fix offers 7 foundational pillars we believe help teens thrive. Over the course of six individual sessions, through engaging and empowering experiences, teens explore what they value most—landing on four core values that guide their decisions and shape their identity. They dive into self-discovery with powerful questions like “Who are you”? and “How do you matter”?, uncovering the unique gifts they bring to the world. We help them identify the people and resources that support them, while also guiding them through a deeper understanding of the many parts of themselves. Through intentional self-reflection, teens gain clarity, confidence, and resilience. We honor how far they’ve come, celebrating growth and breakthroughs and invite them to look ahead — asking “What’s next”? and “What would you like to explore more”? — so they can continue building a meaningful and empowered future.
Heidi Weigel, LPC, Children’s Therapist, ages 8-18
For teens, life can sometimes feel like a roller coaster with lots of emotional ups and downs and the unexpected twists and turns of change. Heidi focuses on strategies to help teens feel more grounded in who they are, who they want to be, and where they fit in the world. A strong sense of self can help teens feel more confident, develop healthy friendships/relationships, make smarter decisions, and manage their mental health for a lifetime of well-being. Each session is tailored to help explore unique personal strengths, interests, and aspirations. A combination of activities such as interactive games, personality tests, expressive art, engaging discussions, and sand tray creations are used to aid in this exploration.
