Keeping Kids Safe, Thursday, Feb. 19, 6:30-8 p.m.

$39.00

This class was offered in the fall, and due to the importance of the topic, we’re offering it again for those who weren’t able to attend.

This class isn’t just about protecting your child—it’s about helping keep their friends and our community safe too.

Designed for parents and caregivers, this session offers practical, approachable information about opioid risks, with a focus on fentanyl. Meghan Macy, Nurse Educator and Family Nurse Practitioner, will cover signs of opioid exposure, accidental ingestion, and the basics of Narcan (naloxone), including a brief hands-on learning opportunity.

Kim Brown, LSCSW and school counselor, will share guidance on how to talk with teens about drugs in a way that feels open, age-appropriate, and supportive.

Geared toward parents of tweens and teens, but caregivers of younger children are welcome.
